Everyone looks up to someone whether it be their parents, a celebrity, or even a friend.
Now, what makes Zendaya someone to look up to? One of the best things about Zendaya is that
not only do her fans support her, but she supports her fans. Even though she does not know most
of them she wants what is best for them and for them to be their best selves. When the HBO Max
original, Euphoria was released, which stars Zendaya, she relayed to her fans on Instagram that it
is a show for mature audiences. She encouraged them by saying this, “Please only watch if you
feel you can handle it. Do what’s best for you. I will still love you and feel your support.” This
statement showcases just how supportive and kind Zendaya is when it comes to her fans.
Another great quality that Zendaya possesses is that she speaks out against injustice. She also
does not care about what people think of her. Because of this she promotes body positivity,
which helps people to be true to themselves and find their confidence. “Having Zendaya as a role
model doesn’t mean one wants to have her life; instead, it means people will strive to have her
positive qualities, which include her intelligence, outspokenness, and confidence.” (Gottlieb)
Through her acting and her fame she stands for what is right and is not afraid to say what needs
to be said. Her image and personality allows many people to find the confidence they need. This
is what enables her to be an amazing role model!
