The current Dean is Kyle Squires, and the school teaches, as its name suggests, engineering.
This field is perfect for those who want to design their machines and bring them to life with their
own two hands. Isn’t that amazing? So follow me on this amazing ride to see how great this
ASU college is!
Before we jump into the many different options of majors to choose from, let me give you
a little background about this school. It originally started as the College of Applied Arts and
Sciences in 1954, but it only was allowed to give bachelor’s degrees in engineering in 1956.
However, the name Ira A. Fulton comes from the man who donated fifty million dollars to
improve ASU’s engineering program. I know the history is awesome, but do you know what is
more awesome? Did you notice that I called this college the Ira A. Fulton Schools of
Engineering? Well, that is because it is made up of eight different colleges on multiple
campuses, and together, they take up over a million square feet of space! This allows tens of
thousands of students to learn engineering! These schools also helped ASU win number one in
Engineering Technology Enrollment out of 112 universities under the ASEE Engineering
Technology Standings.
So, what does this school provide? Well, do you ever dream about saving the
environment and making cities more sustainable? Well, look no further because the Ira A. Fulton
Schools of Engineering provide majors in environmental engineering and civil engineering! Ever
want to make a rocket ship to touch the stars or a rover that explores Mars? Well, here we have
Aerospace engineering to do just that! Oh no, you want to go into engineering, or your parents
want you to go, but you have no idea what to major in? Well, we even have something for you,
too! Featuring mechanical engineering, something that allows you to get into nearly any
engineering field when you graduate! See how gorgeous the Ira A. Fulton Schools of
