am not biased because I actually am not the biggest fan of this dessert myself. I have made this
cake for my family and friends during holidays, birthdays, and just for fun and the reviews have
been nothing short of five stars.
Recently my grandparents hosted a Christmas party and I made, I kid you not, 10 boxes of this
coffee cake. I dreaded it because about three years ago I went on a baking spree and found that I
have a knack for it, which unfortunately led to me being the designated baker in my family. A
staggering amount of people came up to me at the party to talk about how delicious the coffee
cake was. One person even said that I would make a great wife one day.
Now, of course, I appreciated all of the compliments, but all of my “hard work” is owed to
Krusteaz. I have not come across a simpler baking recipe that comes in a box, which says a lot. It
does not take much work at all and the reward is heavenly.
If you are, like me, spending Valentine’s Day in the comfort of your pajamas and self-pity, then
this recipe is for you. This dish is love itself, perfect in time for the holiday.

Ingredients
● 1 (21-ounce) box of Krusteaz cinnamon swirl crumb cake
● ⅔ cup of water
● 1 egg
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease an 8x8x2-inch baking pan with
baking spray or butter.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the cake mix, water, and egg, until well-combined. Small lumps
in the batter are fine.
3. Drop half of the batter into the greased pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle half of the
cinnamon topping over the batter. Repeat this step with the remaining batter and topping.
4. Bake it for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool the coffee cake in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
