My main achievements in Geometry at ASUPD include learning and understanding concepts like the Intro to the Pythagorean Theorem, the Multiplicative Property of Signed Fractions, Segment Addition and Midpoints, and being able to identify Geometry terms such as Parallel and Perpendicular Lines, Naming Rays, Segments, and Lines, etc.
This is very meaningful to me because, before attending ASUPD, my in-person school provided good breakdowns of these topics, but I still couldn’t keep up. I struggled with a lot of self-doubt when solving answers and never really asked for help or assistance. I often felt overwhelmed or pressured, which brought down several of my grades during my freshman year.
Now, as a sophomore attending ASUPD, I’ve found that my work assignments and modules are much easier to understand. The breakdowns in live-lesson meetings, along with minor assistance and examples from the programs used in class, help me figure out what formulas or equations to use to solve problems.
How ASUPD Helped Me Achieve These Goals
ASUPD has helped me a lot with their amazing teachers and LSCS, who provide helpful advice and methods for handling not just schoolwork but also stress. Their daily check-ins, bellwork, and stress-relievers really help lighten the load when you first wake up and log in early in the morning. For someone like me, it makes a big difference.
I, along with many of my peers, really appreciate what the staff and LSCS do for us—especially for students who started late in the semester or are just getting back to square one after a break.
Success Impact
So far, I believe my success in classes and schoolwork has improved significantly compared to my time in in-person school. I’ve improved my attention span by actively listening, I’ve been able to focus more on my studies, and I feel more confident in showcasing my work on different topics every day.
I’m doing my best to achieve the grades I want before the semester ends. My goal is to maintain grades of 90% or higher, prepare for future exams, and complete my DBAs to earn full high-school credit for what I’ve finished before moving on to the next session.
Wrap-Up
I strongly advise my peers to keep moving forward. Work at the best pace you can, and you’ll be able to accomplish whatever goals you’ve set for yourself. Just keep completing the tasks you’re instructed to do, and face any challenges head-on. Whatever comes your way, don’t give up!
