My Favorite Tech Tools – Essential Student Tech Tools

By Ashlee Dodd

Technology is vital for students who want to succeed in online school because it’s the main tool for encouraging collaboration with others, gaining access to information for research projects, and increasing creativity skills.

The first two tech tools that I’ve found most helpful so far during my online courses are Grammarly and Google Docs.

Firstly, Grammarly is an online software tool that helps students format their writing, proofread, and avoid unintentional plagiarism in assignments. I highly recommend this tool because it’s very accurate with spell checks, offers a variety of AI writing support features for schoolwork, and helps improve the overall readability of your writing.

Grammarly, as I mentioned before, is a great and useful tool for students working on essays, blogs, discussion posts, or argument summaries in any course.

Secondly, Google Docs is a helpful online word processor for students who need to create documents for specific classes or assignments. I also highly recommend this tool because it allows students to collaborate on writing, create documents from scratch, and complete writing assignments, research papers, essays, journals, and more.

Google Docs has many features that support student success, such as offline access to work from anywhere, taking notes during live lessons or class videos, and file sharing with teachers for grading or feedback.

In short, these two online tools I’ve recommended in this post are very useful for anyone who wants extra support with their assignments. If needed, you can always explore these tools for additional help. Both are free and accessible to everyone.
