Give Thanks!
Leaves of many colors,
Red, yellow, orange.
Dancing in the wind,
playing on the ground.
The deep glow of pumpkins;
Their kind or scary grins shine,
As their friends are making pie!
Out of the oven
Onto the table
To greet the steaming turkey,
Sitting near the potato pot,
Meet the brilliant red cranberry sauce,
Hear the bustling of rumbling bellies,
Everyone loud and ready to feast!
Give Thanks!
Only crumbs remain
Everything picked away
Dishes clatter in the sink
People quietly banter.
Hear the children’s’ laughter,
As they swim in the leaves,
Stars twinkle,
On this nippy night,
Kids are rounded up
Hugs exchanged,
Goodbyes that are never true
Leaves of many colors,
Red, yellow, orange.
Dancing in the wind,
playing on the ground.
The deep glow of pumpkins;
Their kind or scary grins shine,
As their friends are making pie!
Out of the oven

Hugs exchanged,
Goodbyes that are never true
Keep the people you love close to you!
