Day in Faith’s Life

By Faith Jang

Salutations! Faith Jang has come back once more! This time, I shall give away some facts about me being an ASU Prep Digital student. First of all, I wake up at 8 AM because the earliest live lesson I have acquired is at 9 AM, so I get to sleep a decent amount. After that, I get ready for class like you would at a normal school, except that I can just immediately go to study instead of waiting to get to a building. During live lessons or Homeroom, I wait ten minutes before the Zoom meeting starts just in case I end up forgetting something.

I sometimes end up having a lot of free time to do random stuff. Assuming that my computer screen did not give me a migraine (sometimes I have light sensitivity), I can be hyper and go jump around or work on my video game. Other times, I stay up until 3 AM to finish college assignments that only provide work on a week-by-week basis, so that is sometimes tiring. Schedules are often flexible, which allows me to do volunteer work and help out at my local food bank and (not-so-local) library. With the power given to the students, people can choose to work ahead or split up their work in a certain way to fit their lifestyle. I sometimes use this power to finish my classes early so that I am less pressed for time, and if I get sick, I don’t need to worry about anything other than college classes and clubs.

For clubs, they are some of the most understanding and kind groups of people. I have been in a total of four clubs. Student Blog, Peer Tutoring, the Gaming Club, and Student Government. Student Blog allows kids to write creative articles as long as we stay school-appropriate and stick to the theme. Peer Tutoring allows students to teach their peers and help assist people from all grade levels in the entire school! The Gaming Club holds a lot of great value if you need a place to unwind, and play some Dungeons and Dragons or other games with friends. Those three are the amazing clubs I have joined in my high school experience!

With the freedom provided by being an ASU Prep student, I am able to do so much more with my time. Also, when I get sick, which I often do, there are options for me to be able to have time to recover without compromising my education or spreading the plague. As you are reading this article you are likely an ASU Prep Digital student, a parent/relative, or someone looking into this school. To that, I leave you with one question. What aspects of our fine school are perfect for you and/or your child’s life? Thank you so much for reading!
