Club Spotlight: Gaming Club – The Club of Within Reality and Fiction

By Faith Jang

The Gaming Club is such an amazing group if you want to embrace the ups and downs that both reality and fiction have to offer. We do things from playing video games to going around in our own world of Dungeons and Dragons. This place is also lovely for finding new friends and creating memories by finding people with interests similar to yours. Take, for example, someone who would likely be willing to take you up on a chess game or have both of you talk about a video game you are making.

The possibilities are endless in the club as the students can do whatever they please with the Club Sponsors only ensuring that nobody ends up doing something extremely out of reason. In fact, this club lets you be you so much that you can choose to act totally out of character because you feel like trying something new. After all, we are a gaming community, our entire thing is about make-believe. Plus, how would you know who you truly are if you don’t try new things? Everything is all about having fun and enjoying an amazingly good time. We even have a Google Chat if you want to talk about video games outside of the club Zoom Room!

The one requirement that we have to join the club is to have an interest in games, either digital or classical. A word of advice, not a rule, but try not to be a loner in the club. After all, it does not make you look cool because nobody will notice you and that takes away the whole point of being in an extracurricular group. You don’t need to be outgoing and always bubbly but try to project yourself into the group. The effort is all that counts and take as much time as you need if you are feeling worried!

Of course we have more things to us than just being in a Gaming Club. Our Google Chat allows you to talk to anyone about nearly anything! Need someone to read your essay? We got you! Need someone to cry about a tragedy in your life, don’t worry any of us is willing to listen! You are ready to go John Wick because of something that happened to your dog and need help? Uhm… Maybe not the last one, but you get the point! We have a strong sense of community and are willing to help each other, even if you never chatted or talked to us before!

So after all of this, I must ask you. Are you a perfect fit for this club?
